What is the Boyertown Soccer Club’s commitment to the fields?
In exchange for providing us the public lands to host soccer events, the Boyertown Soccer Club is responsible for the regular maintenance of all of our soccer fields. This often involves mowing, unless different arrangements with the local townships have been made. The club is also responsible for the general maintenance of the fields to ensure that our players have as good as a playing surface as possible, for both games and practice facilities.
As a result of general wear and tear placed on fields, especially during seasons of extreme weather (both dry seasons as well as wet seasons), some fields need to be “rested” for a season. This allows the grass to regrow and the ground to be smoothed out from the pits and grooves repeated running in similar patterns cause.
